My indentity

One aspect of my identity a person wouldn't be able to see just by looking at me is that I'm cape Verdean. People would be surprised or in shock. They would say things like "no way" or "no" like how are you going to tell me what I am . They would think that I'm spanish or indian. The reason being is I'm mixed.

    This is true because people tend to base things based on the stereotypes they are use to. Everyone in different culture always has that one aspect that people look for in them.

    We have the same aspect. People don't go for how you have and accent or how your English is these days. The only thing they look at is you your face.

    Julissa, I would love to know more about Cape Verde! Thanks for letting us in a little. I look forward to learning more as time goes on...for example, do Cape Verdeans speak Portuguese?
